History

The British Chinese Project was founded by Solicitor Christine Lee in 2006. The Project was officially launched at the House of Lords on 31 October, 2006 under the sponsorship of Lady Anelay and at the House of Commons on 25 January 2007 under the guidance of Andrew Dismore (Labour & Co-operative MP 1997-2010).

The BC Project has its roots in the British-Chinese community’s efforts to influence the legislation process of the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006.
